MO Lady Sting takes the SMSG hoopin it up crown!

MO Lady Sting takes the SMSG hoopin it up crown! After edging by Sikeston (27-24) Lady Sting played outstandiing Defense and controlled every aspect of the game as they eased by Salem Tigers (39-11) to finish first in the tournament and improving it’s record to (8-1). As a unit the girls played great team ball and showed significant improvement since their last outing. Next up for sting March 10/11 MAYB Shawnee Mission Tournament. Congrats to the girls on the first place finish and fun weekend of basketball. Future looks bright for LSB

Heres some stats from the weekend: Avg Pts 47.3/ Opp Pts 14.1/ Steals 14.8/ Assists 10.8/ Rebounds 26.1/ Offensive Rebounds 11.6/ T.O. 10.8/ T.O.F. 21/ Winning Margin Avg 33. It was a great weekend of ball . We are pleased with the progress that all the girls are showing. We believe that if we continue to improve and play as a team there will be some excting things thats will take place for MO Lady Sting.

Columbia MAYB Tournament Update

MO Lady Sting falls short in Columbia MAYB Tournament. After winning its first two games of the tournament Sting falls to the MO Shockers. Lady Sting led by as many as eight points in the 2nd half and the Shockers used a late rally to take the lead. With the loss MO Lady Sting moves to 2-1 on the season. Sting will now prepare for the Show Me Winter Hoopfest in Columbia MO February 24th- 26th.

Lady Sting advances to the semifinal round of the Columbia MAYB Tournament. After opening the season with a win over Hoops Express, Sting used a late run through the final 10 minutes to defeat the Macon Tigerettes. Tomorrow MO Lady Sting will take on the loser between MO Rockets and MO Shockers @ 9am @ Armory. Let’s Go Sting!
